More 4 Men

We are excited to announce the brithing of a new Ministry called 'More 4 Men'. This Ministry is being led by Pastor Femi Ogidan who is a great man of God, which Betty King International Ministries fully supports. I would just really like you all to support this great initative.

A Ministry for Single Parents

I am really excited to announce the birthing of another Ministry. We at Betty King International Ministries are very busy in this season.

The last 10 years, for me personally, has been a time of teaching and training. Sometimes it has been very difficult, but overall it has been a blessing. Towards the end of last year the Ministry gave birth to a Single Parents Ministry having experienced raising children as a parent.

In John 4:4-26, from verse 4 in particular, states that our Lord Jesus “…needed to go through Samaria”. No matter what you have gone through or are currently going through God knows and He see’s. I believe that during 2010 He has asked us as a Ministry to start to address some of the issues. Read More.

2010 prophetic word - betty king

prophetic wordA word from the Lord
Strange Weapons

Part1

On Sunday the 24th of January, I walked into my local church. As I walked into the morning service, I heard the Lord say “Dance before me.” It was quite an honor to be able to dance before the Lord and before his people. As I began to dance around the best way I know how, I felt this hot oil was being poured over my shoulder physically. The feeling was very strong and it kept pouring, it went on for a few minutes, then I heard the Lord say “STRANGE WEAPONS, I will release strange weapons in this season.” My obedience to the Lord to dance before him led to this encounter.

In the last season, many of you have given birth to the new, and the Lord is saying that all you’ve given birth to shall be preserved by Him. God wants to enable us to preserve the new as promised in Isaiah 40:11- “He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.” Gently lead? My question was, “Lord, the year has begun with so many things going on, how do people remain focused?”

He spoke and said “My ways are not your ways.” Isaiah 26:1-4, with emphasis on verse three “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
God is very aware of the shaking going on but trust him to preserve what he has given.

The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:4 that “the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.” To operate in peace and victory in this season, we need instructions from Jesus. For example, when Jesus was born, Matt 2:13 “And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him”. We know that there was a threat on the Lord’s life because of King Herod. Joseph was warned in a dream to take the child into the enemy's camp, because the enemy was within. Jesus had to be taken to a place which was not an obvious choice. Egypt was not the obvious choice, but it was God’s choice. His life was spared by that obedience. Remember, the instructions need to come from Jesus. The Lord is able to speak through various people that are really in tune with Him, you will know when the Lord is speaking, because the Spirit will bear witness to it.

In Isaiah chapter 40:9:
“O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God”. Our God is able and He is still at the highest, say it until you believe it. God will come with a strong arm even in the face of adversity. The Church will shine as we know the weapons to use in this fight against the enemy in this season. Here are some of the strange weapons that were used in the Bible: Moses had a rod, Samson had a jaw bone, David had a sling hook, the lepers had their feet, and Jesus had a cross. It may not be significant to you how He’s leading you to fight, but in the strangest way, He uses the insignificant things to bring about victory. Take a look at Saul. While Saul and his men were strategising, having meetings upon meetings for forty days, while the enemy was still taunting God’s people, quoting rank and file, adding new stripes on to their shoulders, but God had His strange weapon in David. Lord I pray that every religious spirit that is trying to block the move of your Spirit be removed in Jesus’ name. Our country and the world need to see the goodness and the power of God. God’s strangest weapon at the time was David. Eliab was refused by God because of the state of his heart. I Samuel 16:7.

Thank Pastor Femi for this insight:
6. And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD's anointed is before him.
7.But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
Let us use the story of Eliab to explain this; there are certain structures that are politically correct, but not Gods choice.
Let us move on to I Samuel 17:28, Eliab was refused, as he was trying to stop Gods strange weapon, and David said “Is there not a cause”. PEOPLE ASK YOURSELF “IS THERE NOT A CAUSE?”

Another area that I feel the Lord wants us to add on is the personal experience I want to share with you. There is pastor that I know called John Starr, (Petra Ministry.org). For a few years because of the state of my own heart towards him, I’ve never been able to sit under his ministry and receive from him. This day in particular I went to church and he was the one preaching. I really needed to be refreshed as I’ve been out preaching for such a long time, when he started to speak, one thing I knew was that he had completely abandoned himself to Holy Spirit. He was preaching from the heart, and it was clear for all to see that Holy Spirit was bearing witness with what he was saying, because all the people were captivated, and I was completely refreshed. I repented that day from my heart attitude, because he was the one God used to completely refresh and release me. He was not my choice, but he is God’s choice. I believe the Lord is asking us all to begin to open our hearts, because the race is not to the swift, it is not for the strong, but it is God that shows mercy. He will use who He wants to use, bless who He wants to bless and curse who He wants to curse.

There are some very strange weapons in the Father’s hands, recognize them and use them for revival will come. There is more I will say in the part two of this word, but I just want you to ponder over this, for now.

I am gripped by His love, mercy and glory, and I am grateful for His grace.

Revd. Betty King

A word from the Lord
Strange Weapons

Part 2

Dear Saints

We read in the last prophetic word how Jesus had to be taken to a place which was not an obvious choice, but Gods choice. God can make the worst places serve the best of purposes. We also read about Herod killing innocent children because of the state of his heart. And remember the prophetic word from last year that the Lord promised us that He will preserve the “NEW” and that the “NEW” will be great. We live today because Jesus Christ was preserved for our salvation.

In Mary and Joseph obeying the instruction of God they had found themselves out of their comfort zone. As we know Egypt and Israel had a history. Israel’s foundation is coming out of bondage into the Promised Land. And we can tell that Mary and Joseph were devout, they were quite prepared to stay in Israel to see their Messiah although many Israelites had migrated to various places. Mary was told to carry the Son of God in a controversial way, and she was then told to get out of her comfort zone- that must have been very difficult for Mary, but she believed the prophetic word given to her by the angel, so she just obeyed God. Mary was able to endure. We need to revisit the prophetic words given to us and understand some of the processes involved in carrying the “NEW”.

Let’s take a look at Luke 1:28-37:

"And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
For with God nothing shall be impossible."

Mary knew that what she carried was different, that it wasn’t for the political or religious structure, but for the whole world. Our breakthroughs will transform families, towns, cities, and countries.
For the visions and the “NEW’ in our lives to be preserved, we need to get out of our comfort zone; we need to allow God to stretch us. You know that it’s God when you can raise up the pure in the place of darkness. The Bible tells us that we are in this world but not of this world. The world is getting darker, but as we use the word of the Lord and the ways of the Lord to raise up the “NEW”, the “NEW” will be preserved and will usher in a greater glory - the coming of our King. This is what this is all about.

Some of you have not seen what you are believing for, but you have a new perspective and zeal to pursue it. God can make the worst places serve the best of purposes.

Herod Exposed

Herod was the king, quite right, the Bible tells us, but the power he had was unlawful. The obvious place for a king to be born is a palace, as such the wise men had approached Herod, and in so doing they empowered him with the information that was used to kill innocent victims. God allowed it, because He is a God of justice, and because His ways are not our ways. Herod fed the wise men, he blessed them, and he used the information given by the wise men to empower himself and to destroy. In this season, because everybody is crying out for change, be very wise who you share the “NEW ” with, because some of the people you think qualify to hear about the “NEW” may be against you. They can molest you with what they say or do just to gain control of what you carry. These actions can be very distracting, as such be wise and discerning; don’t make room for the enemy. Herod was drunk with power, that’s why he felt threatened. He loved to associate himself, but in the alignment and the association, the information that people gave to him in trust, he used to destroy. Be wise.

The Herodic spirit tries to use cruel devices to derail God’s work. Many of you have paid a great price to be where you are, you’ve been beaten down, lied about, some have lost their lives, and together we need to stand against the spirit that tries to stop the move of God. The Herodic spirit comes from wrong alignment and they use the information to destroy.
Do not stay in your comfort zone- your culture, colour, tribe etc; take what you have to every nation. The entire nation will be preserved, by doing so you come to a higher level of consecration, purity, holiness and integrity. Because you have to learn to adjust your way of thinking, and that’s where real growth comes.

A SECTION FOR LEADERSHIP

It is time for change in your local church, your business or wherever it is you lead. Let us take our reference point from Exodus 17:8-13

"Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.
So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword."

At the start of Moses’ ministry God gave him a revelation that he will be a deliverer. God gave him Aaron and Hur to help accomplish the vision of bringing the Israelites out of Egypt. In the text in Exodus 17:8 they were fighting a different kind of battle after coming out of Egypt, so the dynamics had to change. They had to step up in their leadership. Moses’ leadership was clear no doubt, but this time Aaron and Hur had to get even closer to him for them to defeat the enemy. There are certain people that have been with you for such a long time and perhaps set in their ways, and they appear to be the ones stopping your “NEW”. Instead of resisting them, have a conversation with them and find out what “NEW” they’re also carrying, because we are all moving forward together. It is important to find out the “NEW” in the people around you, and make adjustments to move together.

We need the old and the young to bring about victory. Joshua had the strength to fight, but Aaron and Hur could hold up Moses’ hands. Some of the older ones are ready to take on mountains. Caleb at age 85 still wanted his mountain. Recent events in the Body of Christ show that we need wisdom in this season to preserve the “NEW”. I believe that with the right communication, this transition should not be very difficult. What I mean by recent events is a situation where some of the very young ones have made mistakes. We do need a balance in the Body of Christ, and I know that for some it will be very difficult to trust again.

In Exodus 19:21- And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.
Many people have read the process, but verses 22-23 talk about the consecration - the actual process. It is one thing reading the process, but another thing to have gone through it, and God knows His strange weapons at the moment. So trust God and make the adjustments.

Lastly, let’s have an honour system. The Bible is full of examples of people that were honoured. When someone does something that’s deserving of honour, lets honour to encourage them.

God has instructed our ministry to honour people monthly through intercession, and we thank those of you that have emailed or called to share how it has been a blessing. The beneficiaries will only see it after it has been done.

God’s weapons are very strange, but they are effective.
People get out of your comfort zones; take the “NEW” out. The NEW will be preserved when it is carried to the right environment (God’s choice and not the obvious choice), an environment where people have a need for what you carry, where a demand will be placed on it. That demand on the “NEW” is what will preserve it. If your business is not working in a particular country, find somewhere else where a demand will be placed on the “NEW” for growth.

This is a scripture given by Tony Horswood -Isaiah 55:10-13.

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off."

I am so gripped by His love, mercy and glory, and I am grateful for His grace.
